CHAMBERS OF FLAVOUR | GINGERLINE

Brought in to enhance the immersive theatre offering of their latest clandestine dining experience, our role was to cast, write, and direct each scene; bringing to life the theatrical ideas of the Gingerline team.

Guests entering the Chambers of Flavour gathered their drinks and prepared to wish their reality goodbye. Fed into the engine of the Chamber’s machine and transported to strange lands, each chamber was inspired by the flavours of their meal.

The five courses were set in their own surreal scape. First they encountered a ferrel Italian Count in the canopy of a forest, more adept at communicating with birds than people. They travelled on into the nerve racking world of a crash test dummy, eating soup served from the engine of a car.

The main course was served in the dining hall of a haunted aristocratic spinster, guests were joined for supper by the spectres that stalked her halls. Escaping through a family portrait guests emerged to find a sea captain, shipwrecked in a ball pit sea, after cleansing their palette with a gin and tonic sorbet they sung sea shanties and hunted for mermaids.

Finally our guests ascended the stairs to board Air Gingerline, our drag air hostess gave them a ride they’ll never forget.
