Launch the next edition of the Huawei Mate series smartphone with Inca Productions.

Working in the time of COVID 19, we had to deliver creative solutions within a restricted environment. With Inca Productions and Red Consultancy we created an exciting in-car experience, allowing for a controlled physical event for the 40 invited journalists and influencers. 

Inspired by the iconic sci-fi film Bladerunner, the set of neon lit scaffolding built within Printworks was our stage to highlight three of the Mate40 pro’s key film making features - HDR (High Dynamic Range), story board mode, and auto tracking. 

In a convoy of cars, guests arrived ‘on set’, welcomed by their knowledgeable Huawei host. Journalists assumed the role of Director of Photography on our Bladerunner-esque movie set. As our actor was directed amongst yells of “ACTION” and “CUT!”, using the Mate40 pro’s key film making features, our audience captured fabulous visuals and ripe content for sharing- all highlighting the phones’ key features.  

This project received the Gold Award for The Campaign Experience Awards in the innovative new category, Best Socially Distanced Event for 2020.
