The Summer of 2019 saw us working/playing at the magnificent Banqueting House for Harrods first High Jewellery Gala event in celebration of their top clients’ loyal custom. The entire space was transformed into an enchanted garden, brought to life by our Grecian goddesses.
Introducing Drawing Cabaret Couture w/ Florasion
Tuesday 26th, May 6-7pm GMT.
During lockdown, Drawing Cabaret Couture, run by Janet with her partner and artist Matthew Lawrence, have been leading on-line life drawing classes - but not as you know it. Janet's Florasion is this session's subject, with editorial led scenes (think Tim Walker) brought to life by Janet who wears an array of couture designs, whilst Matt guides and encourages the participants to capture the motion of the scene.
Reuben Feels is thrilled to have Drawing Cabaret Couture as part of our For Actors By Actors program and you are invited to join this very special experience.
In this unique session created especially for our FABA program, you will approach the medium of drawing by first exploring the physicality of the scene and subject. The session will be structured as such -
Physical warm up led by our Creator of Play, Natalie
How to transfer this energy into drawing and a keep state of flow to the paper
Basic drawing exercises to help us relax and ease into using our material and mediums
Drawing from two pre-recorded scenes - Matt will be available to take questions
