Deep in the season of mince pies and newsletters, cheap cava hangovers and compulsive shopping we thought we’d pepper your afternoon with some Christmas cheer and an update on our 2016 antics. Reuben’s had what can only be described as an epic year, here follows some highlights for you to feast on.
Reuben’s workshop initiatives, inspiring creativity and collaboration were in much demand. Viacom International Media Networks, the American media conglomerate, asked us in as part of their Innovation Week. Our programme engaged employees at every level with their creative practice and innovated the culture of collaboration within their teams. The School of Life, Alain De Botton’s prestigious Academy devoted to developing emotional intelligence, asked us to run workshops on ‘Serious Creativity’. Here’s what some people said about their experience with us:
“It was honestly brilliant, and I found both your enthusiasm and energy totally inspiring! You guys have a gift so keep giving it.” Charlotte Hilton – Headspace.com
In a bid to nurture our core company of actors, we created our workshop series ‘For Actors, By Actors’. A week of workshops investing in our very talented ensemble.
“It feels so good to jump into unknown territory! Allow yourself to take risks, learn, grow.” Vincent Kerschbaum – Actor, Reubenite

Meanwhile we were creating immersive magic with the multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH. Working with Inca Productions, Moët & Chandon entrusted us with the international launch of their new campaign ‘Open The Now’, engaging a new younger audience with the delicious champagne. Open The Now was a party on an epic scale and our performers made sure it was a party to remember.
September saw us once again working with our friends at Gingerline. We were drafted in as story consultants and performance directors as they embarked on their second Chambers of Flavour. We can’t reveal much of what goes on, but here’s what Culturewhisper says in their 5 star review of the experience:
“You’ll be thrown into the sea, launched to the skies and taken back in time by a joyous troupe of in house actors. Immersive-phobes fret not, any awkwardness soon gives way to euphoria.” Culturewhisper
As spring turned to summer we were commissioned by Live Nation and P&G to bring Aussie Hair to the festival revellers. In an activation that spanned July and August we travelled to V Festival and Creamfields immersing festival goers in the values of Aussie and literally creating 3 Minute Miracles within their festival experience.
Most recently we worked with the brilliant Exposure on Netflixmas, a Christmas party to celebrate the multinational entertainment company, Netflix. Our actors helped to bring to life some of the most popular Netflix original series. There was a lot of suspicious white powder and two adorable corgies.
Another happy client:
“You guys really help lift the event to another level and it was a pleasure working with you.” Jess Spokes – Exposure
And finally, the cherry on the bakewell tart of 2016 was The Last Dance, Reuben’s first independent production. In association with Hoxton Hall we took revellers on a journey that explored love and connection in the 21st century, ending, as all good stories should, on the dance floor. Across the month of November we immersed over 1000 audience members in the dystopian world of The Institute.
“The Last Dance comes together as a celebration of movement, freedom, individuality and disco-stippled joy in a place of artificial rigidity.” Exeunt Magazine.
Endless thanks go out to all the teams who make the magic happen, the brilliant creatives, valiant crews and ridiculously talented cast members Reuben is lucky enough to work with. Most of all Reuben would like to say a massive thank you to all the brilliant clients who continue to commission Reuben to make these awesome immersive projects.
From us here at Reuben Feels, Happy Christmas everyone,
now, go and put your feet up,
eat, drink, and be merry!
