Albion Drive commissioned us to launch Jose Cuervo’s global campaign to find the next “Don of Tequila”. A predominantly digital campaign, supported by traditional advertising and PR, the focus was showcasing the heritage and authenticity of the Jose Cuervo Especial drink. Our task was to immerse key industry figures, press and bartenders with stories from the marques’ history and bring the 250 year old brand to life.
Two classical guitarists underscored our host and narrator, ‘El Jefe’s’ stories. He was a man who had travelled from La Rojena to London as a youth and dedicated his life to telling the tales of his beloved tequila. As he shared anecdotes of his early life in Mexico and the tales of his childhood, the short Disney animated films played like manifestions of his imaginings, and beautiful women, arch enemies and alchemists of tequila walked through his doors as life reflected art.
